We put Kylee in a gymnastic class (THANKS MOM) through Waterford parks and recreation. The class is for kids 1-3 years old and meets once a week for 45 minutes. This week was week 3 out of the 8 week class. Miss Lisa is Kylee's teacher and she in WONDERFUL. We start out with warm ups and stretching and then do some mat work (rolling, marching, walking backwards). Then the kids get about 15 minutes for "free" time to play on all the equipment. The group comes back together and we sing a few songs that have motions (wheels on the bus, ring around the rosy) and then Miss Lisa brings out the parachute. The parachute is Kylee's Favorite! The kids sit in the middle and all the parents spin them around and then they go under it as the parents lift it up and down. At closing Miss Lisa blows bubbles for them to pop and stamps their hands. Kylee has a great time with all the kids (Ramiah from church is in her class too). We get Kylee to do about 50% of the structured stuff.... most the time she is just running around. There are only 2 kids over the age of 2 so the other kids are running around too. Miss Lisa doesn't care, she says if some of the kids do some of the stuff some of the time she is happy.... she knows that they are at the age where they just go! Kylee is learning stuff in class. Some examples are.... She can climb up the slide now (Still working on pulling her last leg over before she goes down) she crawls through the tunnel and she now knows what sharing is! LOL The pics are a sampling of the last 3 weeks of class.
Welcome to the Ladd Family Blog. I hope to keep everyone updated on what we have been up to and of course why you are on the blog in the 1st place...Kylee!

Dinner at Del's
We had a fish fry at my at Mardel's house this past Sunday. The fish was caught and fried by my uncle Dan. Dinner was AWESOME! We all got together to celebrate my Aunts retirement from GM. Here is another family picture (we have a similar pic that was taken pre Mike and Kylee so we decided it was time to update).
......all better
This post should go under the one below, I had more pics of the piercing than I thought. Here are some pics of Kylee playing after she got her ears pierced. She is "all better" and went on her merry way. The play area is in the middle of the food court and all the stuff the kids climb on is in the shape of food. It was so cute when she saw the giant corn she went up to it and made bite noises (smacking her lips together!). Our little girl LOVES to eat!
Our BRAVE little girl!
We finally did it! We took Kylee to get her ears pierced tonight! Se did REALLY good! She only cried for a minute and then she was fine. She got 14KT crystal daisy earrings (Daddy picked them out). Mike held her (of course... I always make him be the bad guy!). They cleaned her ears, marked them and pierced both ears at the same time. Afterwards we took her to the play area in the mall and she had a blast running around with the kids. She is doing great and has pretty much left them alone.
Cousin Ronny comes to town
Eating like a big girl
We have been working on eating with a fork and spoon over the last month or so. I took this video awhile ago and forgot to post it. Here is Kylee eating her breakfast, yogurt & oatmeal... she already downed the banana while I was making the oatmeal. It's funny she blows on her food to cool it off... even her cold stuff.

Detroit Zoo w/ the Martin's
Since the summer is fading away I thought it would be a nice day for Amy and I to take the kids to the zoo. We had perfect weather! It was 72 and sunny. We packed up the kiddos and a picnic lunch and headed to the Detroit Zoo. While we were there Mali fed a giraffe.... Kylee was suppose to fed one too but it was toward the end of our trip and she was cranky (she wanted out of the stroller BAD!). The funny thing is we could have just went to the zoo and never went in.... they had a blast playing on the "hippo" just out side the entrance. It was a fun day. We will have to do it again before the weather turns to cold.

ELCC MOPS Group
Kylee and I joined the ELCC (church) MOPS group. There is about 7 moms and 10 kids in the group. They do a play date once a week on Thursday mornings from 9:30 - 12:00. They get together at the park, at chuch and their homes. The kids are all 3 and under and have a blast running around together. Our first play date was at Hess Hathaway (yes we go there a lot it's close and free). Here are some pics of Kylee and her friends.
Potty Time?
Well at Kylee's last doctor visit (16 months old) Dr Nair asked if we had started potty training. I think she is a bit young but we got a potty anyway. We have been trying to get her to sit on it but she is just way to busy! I gave her a cup of water and had her sit there (what goes in must come out). She drank the water, got up and put the pee bucket on her head! We'll keep trying but I don't think she is ready.....
MMMMM! Ribs!
Cincinnati has some pretty good local products. While we were visiting Karen made us up a lil goodie bag of local stuff to bring home, one of them was Montgomery Inn BBQ Sauce. I put it on some ribs for dinner and everyone liked it. I had cut the meat off the bone for Kylee but she was not having that! She wanted to eat it off the bone just like Daddy!

Kylee's Booty
When we went down to visit my Dad and Karen not only had they childproofed the whole house but they had stuff waiting for Kylee. The got her her own little princess fairy chair, the Yo Gabba Gabba guys and a "plex keyboard". Then Grandpa took her shopping for new clothes... Kylee is one spoiled little girl! Here is a pic of her when we got home chillin in her chair w/ her peeps!
Look on the side of the blog to make sure you have seen all the new updates because they have overflowed onto a second page. If you click on September you should be able to bring them all up.
Spray Park... Ohio Trip 9/09
Since I have been unemployed it was the perfect time to head south to my Dad & Karen's house. Unfortunately Mike did not get to go on this trip but it was still really great. Dad and Karen treated us like princesses! They got up every morning and made us breakfast (they cut up all of Kylee's food and fed her, it was a hands free weekend for me). They took up to the park , the sprinkler park, the aquarium, Yellow Springs (hippy town) and made us AWESOME meals. I loved watching them interact with Kylee and I am so glad they are part of our lives! The following post are some of the highlights....
$2.00 for parking. $2.00 to go into the sprinkler park (it would have been free since she is under 2 but Dad had already paid). Watching Dad and Kylee have a blast in the water ...PRICELESS! It just goes to show that you can spend the money to do REALLY cool things (see below) but good clean, cheap fun at the end of the day wins out! Dad and Karen have an AWESOME park by them (Winton Woods, if you are campers let me know because this place I might even camp at) and we went and spent a late afternoon there. It had a spray park and playground that Kylee LOVED! Kylee loves the water and it was really great to share that with Dad and Karen. I want to thank them for an terrific weekend and we can't wait to go back... hopefully with Mike next time!
